Brian Houston, a singer/songwriter from east Belfast, said:

I shot this guy carrying a cross outside Legion Field in Birmingham, Alabama in 1996. It was about the time of the Atlanta Olympics, and Birmingham had hosted soccer prelims, hence the Olympic rings on the stadium.

Maundy Thursday

The corner of 4th Avenue and 22nd Street in downtown Birmingham, about 1996. If the same picture were taken today, the new Birmingham News building would be in the background.
